Has your certifier requested a Hydraulic Engineer’s Flood Certificate to satisfy requirements of Exempt & Complying Development?

Any property identified as flood affected must meet certain flood related criteria outlined in the NSW State Environmental Planning Policy (SEPP) in order to gain a Complying Development Certificate (CDC).

We can assess the flood characteristics of your development site against the NSW SEPP criteria, and provide a hydraulic engineer’s certificate if successful.

Pricing:

  • Stage 1: Initial assessment - $150

  • Stage 2: Hydraulic Engineers Certificate - $200 (Only applicable if initial assessment is successful)

  2. Send us your project documents via email (Simply reply to the order confirmation email after payment)

  3. We will complete our flood assessment and will notify you of the outcome

  4. If successful, provide payment for Stage 2 and we will prepare and issue your Hydraulic Engineers Certificate.

Required Documentation:

The following is the minimum required documentation for us to complete our assessment. We will use this in conjunction with the relevant flood study for your site.

  • Site plan clearly describing the position and development on the site

(Note that in some cases where there is a lack of flood information available, we may require a Council issued flood information letter)

Other Useful Documentation:

The more information we have, the more accurately we can carry out our flood assessment. If you have any of the following, please consider attaching along with your development plans:

  • Council issued Flood Information Letter

  • Site survey

  • Section 10.7 Planning Certificate

  • Any other documentation related to flooding and/or development of the site.
